Colby Lapolla (she/her) is a producer, vocal producer, and songwriter in Los Angeles with a meticulous ear who specializes in pop and all its subsets, R&B, and alternative. After cutting her teeth in Nashville for a decade, Colby does it all.
In late 2021, her sync project, girl fieri, landed a prominent spot on Selling Sunset, and was subsequently signed to a deal with RISER, licensing powerhouse Safari Riot’s record label (debut EP coming fall 2023). Colby’s entire discography, released and unreleased, is represented by a variety of major licensors, and her self-titled project’s sophomore single spent a full two months on Spotify’s Fresh Finds: Pop. Tracks she has worked on have amassed millions of streams.
In May of 2023, Colby was granted the only full scholarship to the weeklong Mix With the Masters seminar at Studios La Fabrique in Saint Rémy de Provence, courtesy of We Are Moving the Needle, where she learned from and worked alongside Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo (“Despacito,” among many others); and, since returning home, has been mentored by GRAMMY nominated vocal producer, Simone Torres.
Some collaborators and clients (past and present) include Nick Sanza, Emily Haber (Prescription), TOBi (Same Plate/RCA), Chris Zadley, HEIVA, Kali J, Leslie Powell, Jennifer Hart (Records Co/SONY), Liv Miraldi (Warner Chappell), Eddie Island, Kathleen Regan, and many more.
Colby is a breath of fresh air in the studio, shines in new environments, and is committed to helping shape the next generation of women and gender expansive folks on the creation side of the music industry.
She works with / is a member of She Is the Music, We Are Moving the Needle, SongWriteClub, a founding member of SongWriteClub Sync, and an alum of Mix with the Masters.
